This past week, Elaine Volmuth, the parish secretary at St. Mary Church, has let go of secretarial responsibilities there. Elaine will, however, continue as the bookkeeper for our three parishes. We will be looking to have our two remaining cluster secretaries serve our three parishes with some slight modifications of our office schedule. Meet Dieufait Jean Pierre and his son, Kensley. Dieufait has come from Haiti to care for his wife, Jozelaine who is, in a sense trapped in Backus Hospital. New Benches by Our Lady's Statue

During the last meeting of St. Joseph's Rosary Society, which was held on Saturday, February 9, 2019, Elaine Kempesta, its president, proposed a wonderful idea of installing two benches at the statue of The Blessed Virgin, in order to allow a place of rest for prayer and meditation. Thanks to a donation to cover the cost, the project is in full swing. Weather permitting, the benches should be in place sometime this May, at which time Elaine, along with other Rosary Society members, will complete the project with floral arrangements. The monthly Diocesan Pro-Life Mass will take place at the Cathedral of St. Patrick in Nor-wich on Saturday, April 6 at 8:30 A.M. Please join our celebrant Rev. La misa diocesana pro-vida mensual se llevará a cabo en la Catedral de St. Patrick en Norwich el sábado 6 de abril a las 8:30 a.m. Por favor únase a nuestro celebrante Reverendo Walter Nagle en la misa mientras oramos para terminar con el aborto y para la curación de aquellos que han tenido un aborto. Después de la misa, se rezará el Rosario tanto en la Catedral como en Planned Parenthood. Una pequena comida en el Salón de la Catedral seguirá al Rosario este mes.
