Fr. Michael Castiblanco: Ordination and First Mass on Saturday, June 29 at 10:30 a.m. Bishop Cote will ordain Deacon Michael Castiblanco to priesthood at St. Patrick Cathedral.

Our parishes where Michael lived and worked are blessed to be part of this great moment. All are welcome to attend and pray for our dear friend. Fr. Castiblanco will be celebrating two Masses the day after his ordination, Sunday, June 30th: one in English at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church in Groton where he served as a deacon last summer and a second Mass, mostly in Spanish at 5 p.m. at our own Saints Peter and Paul Church. Please come!

On the night before Deacon Michael’s ordination, people from around the diocese will keep vigil before the Blessed Sacrament from 7 to 8 p.m. at St. Patrick Cathedral. This is a wonderful opportunity to pray for Michael and for an increase of vocations to priesthood. We are proud to be hosting Deacon Michael's parents at St. Joseph Rectory during the week prior to his ordination and for several days after. We trust that their stay with us will be a pleasant part of their first trip to the U.S., for the celebration of their son's ordination to priesthood.
